Thursday night the Dallas Stars and Boston Bruins had an old-school hockey type of first period. The first period had 4 fights, 3 of them in the first 4 seconds of the period. You don’t see that much. First you had Steve Ott blooding Gregory Campbell, then Shawn Thornton getting the better of Krys Barch, then Adam McQuaid sending Brian Sutherby down to the ice with a big punch. Later in the period, Andrew Ference sent Adam Burish down to the ice with a big punch as well.
