Thursday night we also had a new fight of the year candidate with Dallas Stars Jamie Benn and Calgary Flames Jarome Iginla throwing down. Iginla got bloodied in the fight but wouldn’t stop and threw some good punches himself. Nice fight.

“This is epic!”

Bruins and Thrashers brawl

On Thursday we had a semi-line brawl between the Boston Bruins and Atlanta Thrashers after Freddy Meyer laid a questionable hit on Milan Lucic and everyone joined in the mayhem. The most entertaining fight would be Nathan Horton taking on Evander Kane. Not sure why Bryan Little and Marc Savard started throwing, since Savard came back from a concussion. Old-time hockey baby!

P.K. Subban vs Brian Sutherby fight

After some stick work P.K. Subban tries to pull a Sean Avery and drop his gloves at a possibly not ready Brian Sutherby and Subban can’t keep his balance. Sutherby keeps the code and lets Subban get up twice without throwing punches, but when Sutherby loses his balance and goes down, Subban throw a punch and Sutherby responds with a punch.

Paul Bissonnette vs Trevor Gillies

Phoenix Coyotes Paul Bissonnette vs New York Islanders Trevor Gillies in a good fight with Gillies getting the decision over Bissonnette. Looks like Gillies may stick with the Islanders for the whole season.

San Jose Sharks A Capella Holiday album

You’ve probably seen the funny Boston Bruins Bear commercials and the San Jose Sharks have made some funny commercials with their players. Well now the San Jose Sharks have a new holiday commercial, the San Jose Sharks A Capella Holiday album. Even Joe Thornton’s Slappy makes an appearance lol. Good funny stuff for the holidays.

Colton Orr bloodies Zack Stortini

A few days ago I read an article where the author was going on about how teams don’t need enforcers or tough guys anymore. Well take a look at last nights game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers. Zack Stortini kneed Mikhail Grabovski, who later scored a goal on the power-play from Stortini’s dumb penalty. François Beauchemin challenged Stortini and they were going to fight but the linesmen broke them up before it could even start. So later Colton Orr went after Stortini to try and get some revenge for Stortini’s cheap dirty hit. Orr pounded the caveman’s ass, I mean Stortini’s ass. Orr bloodied Stortini in the fight and made sure he knows don’t do anything cheap or you will pay the price.

Alex Ovechkin vs Brandon Dubinsky

We don’t see Alex Ovechkin fight much at all, but tonight he dropped the gloves with Brandon Dubinsky as the Rangers were pounding the Capitals. Ovechkin took a run at Dan Girardi and Dubinsky went after Ovechkin after that, watch it below and some pictures are down below as well.

Matt Carkner breaks Derek Boogaard’s nose

Last night there was a heavyweight fight between Ottawa Senators Matt Carkner and New York Rangers Derek Boogaard. Both guys landed one big punch on each other. It’s reported that Carkner had a cut above his left eye and Boogaard got a broken nose from the fight. After the fight there is some controversy as there is video of Carkner either flicking blood from his cut at the Rangers bench or he is just gesturing to the Rangers bench. Watch the fight and flicking incident below. What do you think Carkner was doing?
